In the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park, this gîte adjoining another gîte is nestled in a small mid-mountain hamlet at 1100m altitude. The owners, who live just behind the gîte, are at your disposal and welcome you 3 km from Valuéjols in the heart of the Saint-Flour planèze.
Nearby, you can practice outdoor activities: hiking on the Cantal mountains, downhill skiing at the Prat de Bouc and Super-Lioran ski resorts, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the ski center of the Ché, swimming and water activities in the Truyère gorges and fishing in the Ander, the Alagnon and other small surrounding streams. You can also discover the richness of the regional built heritage by visiting the medieval towns of Murat and Saint-Flour, the Château d'Alleuze where one of the cult scenes of the film "La Grande Vadrouille" was filmed with Louis de Funès and Bourvil, the Garabit viaduct, the work of Gustave Eiffel and the thermal spa of Chaudes-Aigues renowned for its hottest spring in Europe with water at 82°C.
