We arrived at our destination a few hours later than planned, the agents were very helpful in accommodating us to get hold of the keys for the property. The property itself was in an acceptable condition, however it wasn't perfect and it seemed as if no one had looked at the apartment before our arrival to ensure everything was ok. Nevertheless we accepted the apartment the way we found it since we had a similar rental the year before at the same site and were used to the standards. The parking space we had been assigned was occupied for three weeks so we ended up using various other parking spaces available. We did point this out to the agency, but no action was taken. We had not been told that a final cleaning of the apartment needed to be booked and paid for at the beginning of the rental (the form itself didn't allow for that either) and when we asked the agents to arrange a final cleaning we were told that this wasn't possible and that we had to clean the apartment ourselves. We did point out that there were no appropriate rags and cloths available and were told we should use kitchen roll instead. We did clean the apartment as best as we could and left it probably in a cleaner state that we received it. We asked the agents to have someone come by to inspect the apartment prior to our departure, but no one came. We did point out and provided photographs about two minor problems (broken door shelf in the fridge and dishwasher top tray rail broken) that were in that condition upon our arrival.
