150 m² gîte set up in the former lodgings of the Carthusian brothers, on the 1st floor of the town hall. You will appreciate its large living room, its fully equipped kitchen area and its 3 large bedrooms with private bathrooms (which can accommodate 14 people thanks to the extra beds). The distribution of beds is as follows: Myrtille room, 1 double bed. Yellow room, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds. Green room, 2 single beds and 4 single beds on the mezzanine. Sheets are available for hire and towels are included. A communal car park is located 50 m from the gîte. The temporary access for unloading luggage is closed by an electric terminal that is automatically raised. Please do not use it even if you find it open. Please contact the information point. Only the staff is authorised to open the access terminal. The Tourist Office and the town hall decline all responsibility in the event of an incident occurring during the passage of the terminal. Ideally located between Lyon and Saint-Étienne, in the heart of a green valley, within the Pilat Regional Natural Park, discover this cottage in a unique cultural setting: a charterhouse founded in 1280. For 500 years, silence and solitude reigned in this place inhabited by monks. During the French Revolution, after the departure of the Carthusians, the inhabitants transformed it into a village. Thus was born the commune of Sainte-Croix-en-Jarez, today classified among the most beautiful villages in France and a village of character in the Loire. Housed in the buildings of the monastery, this site has retained all its authenticity. Guests, with family or friends, will find peace and serenity in this comfortable cottage. which has a small garden on the ground floor. Football and tennis pitch near the cottage. 2 restaurants on site and a sale of farm products.
