Description of the accommodation

1 hour 45 minutes from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, 3 hours from Montpellier, is the picturesque village of Saint Privat d'Allier.
It is more precisely in the hamlet of Praclaux that Aurélie and Anthony open the doors of the “Le tranquilou” gîte.
This old farm located in the heart of the Allier valley has just been completely renovated to make it a vacation spot that is both authentic and comfortable, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The house's magnificent terrace offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes.
The land is large, and will be ideal for outdoor games.

Activities in the surrounding area: numerous walks (the GR65 passes nearby), visit to the Rochegude tower (built in the 13th century), fishing in the Allier, swimming or white water sports at the Monistrol d'Allier beach (2km )

A little further: Discover the magnificent villages of the L'Allier Valley (Prades, Saint Julien des Chazes, Lavoûte-Chilhac, Sainte Ilpize, etc.), visit the unmissable town of Puy-en-Velay and its numerous monuments classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, the Lac du Bouchet, Saugues with its legendary Gévaudan beast or the pretty town of Brioude...
The cottage is not equipped with internet, however the 4G coverage is excellent.

For your comfort, Aurélie and Anthony provide the sheets (beds not made).

Cleaning is "included" but you will make sure to tidy up the gîte, empty the bins and the dishwasher, rinse the tables and toilets and sweep the broom when you leave. (Cleaning deposit of €80 to be given upon arrival) The house sits on a large plot of land, with parking, grassy area, and possible carport (under the terrace).
The living part of the house is located on the first floor, accessible on a gentle slope via the old barn climb (although access is not recommended for people in wheelchairs, it is possible for people suffering from motor difficulties if they are accompanied).
The entrance is through a hall leading to the living room consisting of a fully equipped kitchen (complete cookware, electric oven, microwave, Senseo coffee maker and filter, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, mixer) , raclette machine, plancha, etc.) and a TV lounge with library and some board games. A small laundry room with washing machine and dryer and a WC completes the day area.
As for the sleeping area, located on the same level, it consists of 3 bedrooms (1 equipped with a 140 cm bed, the other 2 are equipped with a 140 cm bed and 2 90 cm bunk beds) with a bathroom with Italian shower, toilet and double sink unit and a second bathroom with Italian shower and sink unit.
