While we were not very fluent in French & the host didn’t speak English, she was patient and absolutely lovely showing us around the property the first day and making sure we were comfortable (they actually provided us a baguette of fresh French bread as well as various teas, local honey & jam as a welcome package). Everything practically sparkled it was so clean. The bedrooms were spotless and comfortable (the blackout screens really helped us get the best sleep of our trip). The kitchen was well-equipped for us to do our own shopping & cooking. The neighborhood was quiet and out of the way, just what we wanted. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Grand Est/Haute Marne region to stay here. We felt almost guilty that it was just the two of us when this house could accommodate half a dozen people (including plenty of board games and space for kids), but it was also one of the most affordable places we’ve ever stayed in all of France.

The agency is not very responsive or helpful, but once we got in touch with the actual owner of the property, she helped us very well and responded quickly to our questions. Everything was very clean and well established. All suited for young kids, like a baby crib, chair and even toys and a stair gate. Flexibel check-in and check-out times, nice garden (with vegetables), beautiful surroundings. We recommend this place if you want to stay in a nice place in the countryside!
