Welcome to La Gaucherie Aux Dames, in the rolling countryside of the Vallée du Lys, between Cholet and Saumur.

In a calm, soothing environment surrounded by nature, the cottage is located in a former convent rehabilitated while retaining the beautiful stones, beams and exposed framework.

From the small covered terrace with its magnificent view of the countryside, you access the 18m² living room in which there is a small living room with television, a dining area and a small fitted kitchen with sink, 2 hotplates, refrigerator, mini oven and microwave.
On the ground floor there is also the first bedroom of 14m² with 2 90x190cm beds, private bathroom and separate toilet.
Upstairs is the second bedroom of 9m², on the mezzanine opening onto the living room, with a 140x190cm bed, bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet.
Outside, enjoy the garden furniture and the barbecue and admire the view at your leisure. A small pond lit in the evening makes the place bucolic. The river below the lodge invites you to relax. You can access it and even have a picnic there if you wish. Experience a stay in the heart of nature, surrounded by horses, sheep and cows. Hiking, mountain biking and horse riding trails are located near the gîte.

In the surrounding area, discover the Bioparc de Doué la Fontaine 20 minutes away, Saumur 40 minutes away, Angers 45 minutes away and Puy du Fou 50 minutes away.
You can also visit Camifolia in Chemillé, the Parc Oriental de Maulévrier, the Musée des Métiers in Sevremoine, and of course the vineyards of Anjou-Saumur and the Layon valley.

The cottage is located in a hamlet with the owners' house, 4 tourist rentals in total and the agricultural operation (sheep, cultivation of flower seeds and strawberries). Access: Coming from Angers, before the village of Montilliers, take direction Valanjou. The road turns and goes down, crossing a river. After the bridge on the left, La Montée. At the next crossroads, turn left to take Vihiers. 500m on your left. Go down after the two large pillars. Coming from Cholet: Take the Le Voide exit. After the castle at the small roundabout turn left, Le Voide, Thouarcé. At 500m when the road forks, turn right, direction Machelles, Thouarcé following the river. Follow the river for 3-4 km until you reach a rise crossing a small wood. At the top of the hill it is signposted La Gaucherie aux Dames. Go down after the two large pillars and you are there! Coming from Saumur, head towards Doué la Fontaine/Vihiers, then Montilliers. Leaving the village of Montilliers, head towards Valanjou. The road turns and goes down, crossing a river. After the bridge turn left, La Montée. At the next crossroads, turn left to take Vihiers. 500m on your left. Go down after the two large pillars. Longitude -0.529066 and Latitude: 47.179209
