18th Century House with Charm and Modern Comfort

In the upper Côte-d'Or region, on the Crémant Route and at the gateway to the Champagne region, this renovated former grape harvest shed offers this 18th-century stone house plenty of character. The ground floor features Burgundy flagstones, exposed stone, and French ceilings. The living and dining room features a wood-burning stove and sofa bed (sleeps 2 extra), and a fully equipped kitchen combining modern comfort with authenticity thanks to the beautiful stone sink. A large bedroom with a double bed. A shower room with a walk-in shower and separate toilet. Upstairs: a bedroom with two twin beds (80x200), a shower room, and a toilet. Baby equipment is available: a travel cot, high chair, and a bathtub. The house and its outbuildings, which are not accessible, boast a vast enclosed plot of over 1,000 m² with a vegetable garden and a 600 m² enclosed courtyard at the front. The village of Molesme boasts a rich and prestigious past: its abbey was founded in the 11th century by Robert, later known as Robert de Molesme, before he founded the Abbey of Cîteaux, the cradle of the Cistercian order. Numerous historical sites are worth visiting: the abbeys of Fontenay and Clairvaux, the Châtillonnais-Trésor Museum of Vix, the châteaux of Tanlay and Ancy-le-Franc. Just 5 km from the Champagne vineyards, you can also take the Crémant route to discover local winegrowers, guided by the owners, former winemakers. Leisure activities include beautiful walks in the Châtillonnais forests, fishing in the Laigne, the Seine, or at Lake Marcenay, and a water sports center in Montbard. All shops are available in Les Riceys and Laignes.
