Your host :
The origin of this construction dates back to the French Revolution. Called a barn, it was part of a small farm acquired by a great-grandfather in 1882. It is located in a closed hovel surrounded by hedges and planted embankments.
Over time, Elisabeth and I Michel, now retired, became the owners. But what to do with a time-worn building in which our ancestors for decades piled up the sheaves of wheat where instead of the current kitchen was installed a threshing machine!
After documenting ourselves, we undertook its restoration and then, one thing leading to another, transformed into a house destined, in partnership with the lodgings of Seine-Maritime, into a rural lodging. For nearly 30 years, we have been sharing rich moments with our guests from various backgrounds and countries.
Our accommodation, which has been in operation since 1992, is located in the countryside in a hamlet adjoining an orchard planted with fruit trees where ewes and lambs graze, close to fast communication routes and near the beaches of Puys, Dieppe, Pourville or at low tide. fishing is practiced on foot. The Lin cycle route, the Avenue Verte and other paths allow walks through fields and meadows by bike or on foot. The interior equipment is complete, the rooms spacious. The restoration respects Norman architecture: brick, flint, terracotta cobblestones, cob between half-timbering, old and local materials. Depending on the feelings of our guests, we encourage them to discover the heritage, gastronomy with cream and farm butter, corked cider, fish and shellfish without forgetting meat and poultry. We strive to meet the expectations of our guests in terms of museums, curiosities, restaurants and of course the surprising cliffs of the Alabaster Coast. Goodbye !
