Stay in the old 18th/19th century presbytery of Niort La Fontaine, a remarkable site at the foot of the church. Meet Jean-Michel Jars and Charlotte, the house geese.
This stopover is ideal for visiting the characterful town of Lassay-les-Châteaux. Many activities are offered at the castle.
For hiking enthusiasts, the footpaths are marked and allow you to immerse yourself in the authentic Mayenne bocage, among the paths, those of Pissarro and the standing stones.
From the towpath, exit at Ambrière-les-Vallées and travel the 12 km through the rolling countryside, to offer you this stopover where your sleep will be the best (very good bedding and great calm).

Turn right, Rue de l'Etang, take the direction of Niort la Fontaine/Musée du Cider. Continue for 3 km. The old Presbytery is behind the church.
