Peaceful Eco-Cottage Near Vézelay, Converted Barn

Come and relax and enjoy our ECO-GÎTE located in the hamlet of Val Sainte Marie 15 minutes from Vézelay and close to the Arcy sur Cure caves. You will find in our cottage the calm, the charm of the countryside and all the comfort to make your stay pleasant.

The house has been renovated keeping the spirit of the old stones but with today's technology. The materials used respect the environment (hemp insulation, ecological paints, Canadian well for double flow ventilation, heat pump, terrace in Douglas fir from Morvan ...), all materials have a low carbon impact due to their local origin. The cottage has a capacity of 4 people, but its atypical configuration results in ½ levels connected by stairs, therefore not very accessible for PRM.

You enter the kitchen / meals; on the mezzanine you have access to the library / relaxation area. A staircase leads you to the sleeping area and toilets. No wifi.

A plot of 750m², adjoining the cottage is at your disposal. It consists of a large terrace around the house with a garden furniture under a pergola adjoining a herb garden, an orchard, a vegetable garden. Pets not allowed.

In an old barn we have set up a relaxation area "Les Hirondelles" where you will find a garden furniture, relax armchairs. A Maillard stove fireplace finds its place there as well as a corded wood wall. Bicycles can be stored in the locked garage.

For electric vehicles, a fast terminal is at your disposal in the village near the shop "Au Panier Bourguignon".

-deposit of bread-homemade takeaway meals - possibility of eating on site.

An associative café CHEZ LA MERE LELEU, run by volunteers. It is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 [hidden] to 9:00 [hidden] and on Sundays from 11:00 [hidden] to 1:00 [hidden] and from 5:00 [hidden] to 7:00 [hidden] In summer, a small catering service will be offered (aperitif platters).
